Hi Farmgirls - I have been emailing with Heather (nndairy) to see if she planned to resume the recipe swap. She said she is too busy right now and would be happy to have someone start it up again. I would like to do that with a little twist. Let's swap recipes for a favorite meal. A recipe for an appetizer (salad, soup, etc.), main course and a dessert. So 3 recipes. Be creative as you like with recipe cards or other ways you may have.

WOW!! I am one lucky farmgirl! Look what I just received in the mail from my new farmgirl friend, Vicki. The mailman had strategically placed the parcel in the mailbox so that when I looked inside, Vicki's little note on the side of the box was facing out declaring "Yay, it's farmgirl time". I was so excited!! I can't wait to try the recipes. My husband wants me to make the Crunchy Sweet Potato Casserole - he remembers having this dish at his family's Thanksgiving dinners!
Thank you so much Vicki - I love the beautiful measuring spoons and I appreciate that you thought about the different measurement conversions. It took me a while to get used to the subtle changes when I lived in America with all my Australian recipes. I now have my American measuring cups/spoons and my Australian measuring cups/spoons.

Happy Tuesday everyone!
I wanted to say thanks to Ruthie Ann - she sent me yummy recipes for Spring Salad Round Steak and Mushrooms, and Apple Cake. They all sound so good. Can’t wait to give them a try. I also got the cutest flower scrubbie. That will come in handy for sure!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Becky. I was so surprised and grateful at the amazing things I received from you in the recipe swap. Along with a wonderful lined book with handwritten recipes, I received a beautiful mug, a satin sleep mask, (I have never had a sleep mask), it will be fun to try it out. A small easel and canvas, I can color or paint the canvas, some sticky notes, and two small signs, one saying "rejoice always" and another simply saying "grateful". Please know Becky that I am grateful. I love the gift and will be trying all of the recipes - the peach cobbler is first on my list! Hugs and Blessings. Gail

Laura - your recipes sound amazing! I love mac and cheese and tacos but have never thought of combining them. I'm thinking I need to try the easy taco mac recipe out for our mothers day get together!! I love crockpot recipes for the days when farm work keeps me outside all day. The chicken taco soup will be perfect for when hay making starts. And I had to laugh at the serving size on the brownies. There's no way I'd get 20 servings from them either. They wouldn't last 24 hours in my house - and it's just me and my husband LOL! Next time I get to the grocery I'm getting some chocolate chips so I can make them. Thanks for sending such wonderful recipes!
