So far, I've "met" Quiltee (Linda) and Katmom (Grace) who do machine embroidery. Any others out there? Any interest in starting a machine embroidery challenge or swap or sharing tips, or whatever strikes our fancy? Could be fun and informative. I have lots of ideas to get us started . . . . first project could be a "get acquainted" project and limited to a 4x4 in design, so all could participate no matter what their machine limitations. Or, if you haven't made a Stitch Book yet for your particular machine, we could start with that. You learn soooooooo much about your machine by making one. Think about it and let me know what you think.

I am sorry that I haven't posted pictures of the sweet gifties I received from Jean, I want to thank you for being so kind. I went to visit my doctor and brought home the regular flu, I won't make that mistake again ;(
1 don't think I will use the mug rug for that purpose, I plan to hang it on my tree. I will enjoy the Dakota Embroidery Designs for sure! Thanks again Jean, Kathy

Hey Kathy and Jean..
sorry, up to my eye balls in 'stuff' and been MIA on the MJF forum......
not a ITH project..
I realized I did not have water soluble stabilizer to make some lacy ornaments,, so I did this instead...
Yes, the lavender is from this years garden...

oh and fyi,,, I made a few more of these ornaments, for my grand kiddos. only I left the top (between the red and green felt) opened, unstitched,, so a candy cane or $$ or both could be tucked in.

Oh my, Michele -- Sounds most interesting but I have never heard of a Happy Embroidery Machine. Don't know anything at all about commercial machines. Re figuring out his own patterns -- don't they have to be digitized?

Hi Ladies, has anyone ever played with a Happy Embroidery Machine? My husband got this big un, to do hats and shirts and stuff for his work. And it was a good price to boot. He is trying to figure out his own patterns and its a bit of a challenge. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts? thanks

I am working on a machine stitched quilt for my grand-daughter. It is taking 20 minutes a block not counting hooping time and I have just finished 24 blocks, BORING to say the least, lol It is an Australian pattern and those ladies don't do anything halfway. But it is going to be pretty. I am looking forward to Morgan opening her gift. Kathy

Do you ladies think that we have time to stitch something for Christmas? Nothing big, but a little ornament or something like that? Maybe we could try our hand at ITH it is easier than you think, Grace.

Well, DUH!! I should have figured that one out cause I've come to realize that Katmom is an Acronymphomaniac ROTFLMAO.
Oh Kathy, so sorry about your DH. No fun being a care giver. Our hearts are with you.
Re the Featherweight Store. I have to get my hubby to take me to it. He is my care giver as I can no longer drive. We need to make one more trip down to Lewiston to do a Costco run before winter gets really serious, and we could make a slight detour on the way home to stop there. I'll have to check it out now and see if I need to make an appointment first.
