Posted - Jul 31 2020 : 11:05:01 AM Hi NJ from another almost neighbor and MJF newbie. Welcome to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I moved up to the Idaho Panhandle a few years ago from the Nevada desert. We have a little farm and love it here. Hopefully you will too once you get used to slowing down from life in the east. I see there are several of us Bigfoot Princesses up here . . . . maybe we should plan a convention. Have you joined any swaps yet? Love your photo and your garden update. Have fun. Jean |

Posted - Jul 30 2020 : 5:57:04 PM Seems like I have connections to a few of you, in a way. I have relatives in OR, CO, SC, NC, TX, OH, NJ, and other parts of the country. Tired after a long day of Zoom meetings, so now I'm listening to the birds hanging out on my balcony as they enjoy free dinner from the bird feeders I put out for them.

Posted - Jul 22 2020 : 03:33:15 AM Welcome NJ from another native New Yorker. We were a military family and ended up here in southern New Jersey. I imagine the quiet life in Kent is much different from NYC. I grew up in upstate. I'm sure you will enjoy it here. So much to learn here. Look forward to seeing you around "the farm".

Posted - Jul 21 2020 : 11:32:27 PM Life in Kent, WA is pretty quiet compared to living in NYC. I am currently working on a vegetable garden. Not much happening there since I'm still a newbie at gardening. The kale has been great this year. For some reason my tomatoes aren't so good this time. Might just be because I grew cherry tomatoes this time. New vegetable for me. My beans are just starting to grow, so we'll see what happens with those. I have two cats: one very grumpy but sweet orange and white old male, and one black and white young female. I'm a mom: one 33 year old son, and a 13 year old daughter. Lastly, I'm a teacher.
Until next time.
