All of this Jewelry was from Richard's Aunts. He had three aunts that lived together but never married. Guess they liked Jewelry. See the little hat pin holder on the right, I think that came from a garage sale. The old picture on the left is my Great Grandma. the two girls are my Grandma and her sister. Wish I had that doll.
Warm a muggy here today, but that's not stopping me from making my favorite dinner, Chicken biscuits and gravy.Probably will need to lay down after that.

beautiful costume jewelry!! My grandmother had a small mirror she had attached to some black velvet and started placing costume jewelry around it, it's really quite pretty, she was never able to finish it, I've had it for years and after reading this email thread you shared - I'm now inspired to finish it and display it! Thank you!!! xxoo

What great ways everyone displayed their vintage jewels!! It is especially creative when there is many different pieces.

Nancy, I love how you placed yours on a dresser on top of a pretty tray!

Love all the beautiful jewelry. I wear a pin to church every week, before the shut down! I get so many comments on how beautiful they are and how they should start wearing their own! LoL! I used to just admire my jewels and one day decided,if I don't wear it, who will? My daughter won't! Actually, most kids won't want half the things we have! Maybe I should sell it and go on a cruise! LoL! For get it. I don't want to get stuck in the middle of the sea on Quarintine! Yikes! Better rethink that plan!

So nice to see that a lot of the better made and family pieces are still about. They should be worn when when it fits the day. Or for any reason just because they are pretty.

I have a shoe box full of costume jewelry that was my mother-in-law's, my great aunt's, and some of my mother's. I am thinking about taking some of it down to the local consignment shop, but I am keeping the bakelite pins and bracelets.

What wonderful sparkly treasures! I tried making a collage of vintage brooches I had, but it seems like such a shame that DD and I just took the ones we wanted to wear instead. Jewelry was such fun! I wish costume jewelry would make a big come-back!

Lovely. I made a jewelry tree out of my grandmas jewelry that was hers and she collected. I got glued to a styrofoam tree shape. I love displaying it. I got glued it figure it I could always take it apart and did not hurt the jewelry.

Beautiful! I love costume jewelry. I have boxes full from my mother in law (whom I never met) But I love them all. I considered selling them - but wondering if I could display somehow.

Love the picture of your Great Grandma. What a treasure.

Nice collection of vintage costume jewelry. I especially like the cameo. I remember when they were popular. I have my first pair of screw on earrings that are a small cameo surrounded by wee rhinestones. I think I was twelve when I got those earrings. Makes them 60 years old. The picture & frame are beautiful. Love old frames.
