It is time, once again, to do our Annual Farmboy Swap, celebrated on Father's Day. This year is going to be our third year in a row. For those of you who are new, we started doing this because many of us have Farmboys who are always curious as to what are in all those Farmgirl Mail packages that come in the mail for us. When we started sharing about that discovery, what we really realized was that the Farmboys had figured out that there was most likely some candy in that mail!! LOL!!

So I had this idea to do a swap here where we sign up, list some likes of our Farmboys, and then when partners are posted, you will create a swap for that Farmboy and mail in time for FAther's Day.

Every Farmboy qualifies in this fun swap!!

This year, Father's Day is June 21.

Here are the guidelines: Sign up and leave us some ideas of what your Farmboy would like in a surprise package. Keep it simple with easy to find things like certain types of candy, microwave popcorn, jerky etc.

Sign ups through June 5 and partners listed June 6. Please mail your package no later than
Friday, June 12 so it will arrive in time.
Several Farmgirls have noticed that packages are not arriving on time since th pandemic has hit. To be safe, I am asking you to please mail out the earlier date listed above just to be sure packages arrive.

PARTNERS:

jmpiercy--QuiltWright

BeckyT---treelady

TexasGran-----doctorbar

Levisgrammy---Sheridan16

GinnyBelle-----RedTractorGirl

If you have any questions please email me for help. Let's surprise our favorite Farmboys with their own Farmgirl Mail again!!

When I was a seventh grader I took a semester of wood working and a semester of crafts. Ceramics and leather work were two crafts that I truly enjoyed. Thanks for your help.

Mike took a few classes when we lived driving distance to a Tandy stores. He has done keychains, belts, holster, and is now making a purse for me. Tandy leather is a great source, and it is one store he wishes was closer to us now. He does have a DVD to refer back to since between projects can sometimes be a long time.

Enjoying the day

Cristy, what does your husband make with leather?
My husband has been asking me questions and looking at the Tandy Leather web site.

Thank you Joan! Everything you sent was perfect for Mike. He was so surprised! He came in with the mail and immediately informed me that he got a package, but then total confusion because he doesn't know anyone in NC. The peanuts, hot snacks, rod holder and stowaway box will be ideal for the next fishing trip....but I doubt the edibles will make it thru today. The basket is the perfect size for his leather work table. This was a great swap!

Enjoying the day

I'm so glad Warren enjoyed everything, Winnie! I meant to ask, does he eat those pistachios as is? Or does he roast them himself? I didn't even know they offered them raw until I was looking for him.

Well, last night our USPS person knocked on the door during dinner(we get our mail late) and Warren answered it and got a big box. Who is Frankowski from Indiana? I don't know anybody by that name. I said, just open it up and while he was digging into the packaging..........he said, "This has to be that Farmboy swap!" He was so excited to open up the goodies and boy, Hannah, did you spoil him!! All of his favorites too!! Note the Reeses already have clips on the bags because they have been dug into with great fervor!! LOL!!

Reeses candy, Orbit Peppermint gum( I forgot to put in photo), Pistachio nuts, an assortment of bandanas and a water bottle for when he goes out to run, and a ver sweet card!! Hannah, he was a very happy Farmboy and surprised too!! I am happy that Ryan loved his goodies too. Most guys always love homemade cookies with chocolate in them!!

If you look at the left side of the photo, you will see the cutest horse heart pillow and then a sweet card for me with some fun teas. Wow!! I was surprised!! thank-you Hannah. I love the horse pillow. It is really cute and horses are near and dear to my heart as well. Heheh, I might have to beg for one of his bandanas too. I love all those colors and I couldn't find any anywhere here!

It looks like our Farmboys are all having a great time receiving these surprise swaps in the mail! this swap is always so much fun and we have fun together doing something special for our guys.

Darlene, he has almost read his new book!
You know... I think it might just be a good idea to plan on doing this swap next June too. This was my first time. To see my husband, so excited, just like a little boy, was priceless.

Darlene does Shannon dress up as Santa at Christmas? He looks like Santa.

Shannon was so surprised! As he unwrapped each item, he kept saying, "WOW, this is just like Christmas!" He loved the bandanna and all of the goodies! The Twizzlers and nut clusters are already gone. He was especially moved by the patriotic quilt. He said it has been entered onto the list of his most prized possessions. He was amazed at the thoughtfulness and generosity. This was the most fun swap ever! Thank you, Marilyn, for making my Farm Dude one happy guy! Hugs and stitches!

Winnie, thank you for hosting this swap!
Robert came home from work, at lunch time. Hadlee also came to help him get into the box with his name on it. He was so excited and had a lot of questions! He was very pleased and he has a mug rug of his own, a book to read and all kinds of snacks. He is one happy guy!

Hey Winnie! Ryan just tore into his package and loved it! He ate two of the cookies already. I tried to tell him to wait until after dinner, but he said they were his cookies and he could eat them when he wanted. Hahaha! He said to thank you very much! :)

My farmboy is getting on up in years, but he has discovered pumpkin seeds...they are a green color, and he likes them roasted and salted.
He likes beef jerky. And he enjoys dried fruits like apricots, or a mix of dried fruits. Nuts are also a good treat
He loves chocolate, but it is getting pretty hot here so some butterscotch or caramel hard candies would make his day.
His name is Robert. He is a carpenter, so on the days he goes to work with our son, he is very tired...because he is old, and having his very own package to open and enjoy...WOW!
