This post is for my Bibliophile badge; intermediate level. I'm not on Facebook so I hope this counts!

I just finished reading Make the Bread, Buy the Butter by Jennifer Reese. I loved it. I am learning to cook from scratch and it was a big help to me to read how things turned out for her when the author tried different dishes. I especially loved the section on raising chickens which has thus far been expensive and heartbreaking for her family, but she chooses to continue because she believes it is worth it.

Has anyone else read this book? What did you think?

I keep track of what I'm reading or would like to read at goodreads.com/sandymechelle if you'd like to follow me.

Sandy, I have not read this book either but it sounds interesting. There is always much to learn when we experiment with doing things from scratch. It is never as easy or successful as we expect and hope it will be. However, but is always a learning experience and that is actually how we learn the most.

Sandy, I haven’t read the book, but I hope you can find someone who has so you can get your badge. I just recently started using goodreads. A friend introduced me to it. It’s a neat tool to keep track of what your reading and plan to read.

Interesting title. I have not read it but may have to put it on my list.
