Posted - Apr 03 2020 : 4:13:47 PM Dear Girls---Do you remember Bill Withers and his Lean On Me song from the seventies--How I loved it and walked my beagle in the woods with my radio. Well Girls he was from Slab Fork---a little coal mine town near me and he moved to Beckley at three years old and lived there until he was seventeen. Always so proud of him and so many love his songs. He rocked for sure . Beckley is our town and I love Bill Withers. Even NYC loves him---so proud of a poor coal camp boy. Hope you all will say you all love him too.

Posted - Apr 04 2020 : 6:19:13 PM I loved his music too. I can't play a keyboard but somehow while visiting my cousins years ago I actually tried to play Lean on Me and it sounded ok. Can't play any other song to save my life.
