Thanks Winnie, Krista, and Mary Jane.
I am not Catholic, but absolutely adore the midnight Christmas Mass. Such a universal message of love.
I always feel somewhat recharged and fortified. Just what we need during a busy holiday season.

Lisa, I think wrapping to Midnight mass is a wonderful tradition! I think the Pope's message of Christmas Hope will also be a way to celebrate Christmas with the memories of your Dad. Extra prayers to you and your family for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad passing away. My Grandma whom I adored died on Christmas Day, I try not to let it dampen my spirits, but, I must admit, it usually does for a couple days. Then I try and concentrate on what a beautiful day to enter heaven. I always am doing some things at the last minute. Every year I think this year I will be done early, never quite works out that way!

Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. This is such a rough time to lose family. Sending many hugs your way.

Not done, still have to decorate, clean and wrap. My dad died 2 weeks ago so has been sad and hectic.
I have a tradition that most find crazy. I wrap during Midnight Mass from the Vatican.
Nothing like cutting it close.
I admire all of you that are done ahead of time.
Kudos.
Merry Christmas to All!

All the cookies are made now and I'm grabbing my last minute presents today and will start wrapping tonight once the kids go to bed. Still haven't finished my moms present but told her it will be late and she understands. I'm hoping to at least have the front of the pillow finished crocheted so I can at least show her what it will be.

Grace, you are the sweetest! I'm making progress. Only have my mom and dad left to shop for and my mom, dad, and brother to finish presents for. I got the rest of my decorations up yesterday. Still no wrapping though. I'll pull a late night tonight to finish up some more stuff.

Well Grace---for once I am just as fast as you. Decorating and shopping are all done---we finished shopping yesterday and I wrapped stuff as soon as we got home. We drove to a little town in Virginia to finish up because it is so pleasant to shop there. Beckley is so crowded and you get run over by people in the stores---especially Walmart. A wonderful peaceful day in town. Will now clean up the house and maybe enjoy reading some Christmas books. I will bake a little before Christmas and Hubby will shop for the rest of the food we need. I don't have to leave the holler unless I want to, and Monday night we are going to the cabin shack for a solstice party.Happy Holler Days for sure. Krista---just do the best you can and don't worry---it will be good enough. You have done so much by moving and I probably would have to skip Christmas. Just enjoy and be proud of yourself.

Oh Grace, I am so jealous! I am nowhere near close to being done. I'm so far behind it's not even funny. I could use a couple of elfs to come help me. Maybe next year right!? I still have all the wrapping, some more crafting and baking, and tons more decorating!
