Well the hubby and I jumped into being part time RV'ers...

We are buying this Class-A motor home...
I swear we must have looked at a gazillion different motor homes, then went home and researched each one we liked,, even joined a few forums for specific coaches... until we made our decision, after two weeks of looking and researching we choose this one.

at 28 1/2 feet, it offers everything we want and need.

Even Ginger, our fur kid approves..

I haven't driven it yet, but it's only 6ft longer then our last (class-B) motor home and I liked driving it.
I see lots of memories to be made in our future 'Gypsy' life style.

Don't you just love that! Over the weekend we dug out a box of dolls and a doll bed for Everleigh that was mine when I was her age. I had forgotten all the things that were in there! It was like Christmas for me all over again! Lol. We must be getting your same storm. It's still raining here as well. I'm ready to be outside. Hopefully it clears up soon.

Krista,, I am struggling not to get crazy and go shopping for stuff for the motorhome,,,,, DH and I were out in the barn today, he built shelving for me so I can get all my containers off the ground,,, while putting the containers on the shelves, I was getting excited peeking in the containers, seeing stuff that would be perfect for the motorhome.
I luv re-shopping through my stash...

Now if it would stop raining so I can put my patio furniture outside....

Winnie, my dad was career army and even as a kid we did a lot of camping, mom and baby sister slept in the VW Bus and dad & I spelt outside on camp cots, We called it the "Star light Hotel"...

Hubby and I did a lot of tent camping in our early years but then when our daughter turned 3 we bought a 19' travel trailer,, more comfortable with a small child...
Fast forward,, hubby likes the idea of a home on wheels, and I like it to, truth be known,, but I still luv glamping with my gal~pals inb our wee playhouses on wheels and a porta potty in the closet. :>)

I am looking forward to that time when the Gypsy Farmgirl arrives in Ocala, Florida!! Hehe, my hubby gave up camping after Vietnam. He said he had enough "outdoor living" to last him a lifetime as an Infantry soldier on the ground in the tropics of Vietnam and Laos. His idea of "camping" now is any motel that offers a decent bed, AC, and a nice hot shower!! LOL!! He does go tent camping once a year for two nights with his guy friends group that have been doing this trip each Martin Luther King weekend for over a decade. They stay at a nice state park camp on Little Talbot Island that has nice amenities including great bathrooms and showering facilities. But believe me, if it weren't for this small group of friends , he would have never wanted to do a camping with the family!! I did a lot of camping as a Girl Scout, but admit, I like a lot of comfort too!! I am and equal softie! LOL!!

Winnie,, Our first outing will be over in Newport, WA.. in 3 weeks, if it ever stops raining that is..lol!

Oh and Ocala is on our target list for next year,, AZ, to TX to FL then up to PA... I am sooo looking forward to the Gypsy Life.. oh and yes,, Ocala is 'just down the road' from Gainsville,, just saying.. heeheehee..

I will do my Girl Glamping in my wee trailer with my gal~pals,, but Hubby likes a bit of comfort.. he say's he has done enough tent camping in his younger days.. now to enjoy being a pampered gypsy.. lolol!

Wow, Grace, I missed this post!! What a beauty you just got for that Gypsy life!! It is gorgeous inside and will be comfortable in to wander about for long periods of time. Will this new vehicle take the place of using your Glamper? Or will that be for short little jaunts? Looking forward to seeing photos of your upcoming journeys! Where will your first outing be to?

We were at the dealership today finializing the paper work. We decided to put 40% down so we won't owe on it for ever....
Hubby decided to have a few things done to the coach before we bring it home so it will be 2 weeks before I get to have fun setting up all the 'googies ' for traveling.

Hope I don't bust a gut waiting... lol!

Hey Krista, we have 2 mini/starter trips planned, in April, over n Newport WA, Diamond Lake... which is not to far away... We want to take our first couple trips to local locations, to work out any bugs there might be in the motorhome.
We are taking Ginger with us, hopefully she will like camping... heeheehee...
