We always share favorite decorations and foods that highlight our Fall and Christmas celebrations. I thought we should do a swap that shares some Easter or Spring favorites that come out of our kitchens. Please include a recipe of one of your favorite dishes that make it into either your Easter weekend meals or Spring gatherings. You can add anything else that might brighten a kitchen for the Spring season.

Sign ups through April 7 and mail out by April 15 so to arrive in time for the Easter weekend April 21.

Let's get started writing up a favorite recipe and any tucks you would love to include.

Partners for this swap will be Round Robin style:

RedTractorGirl with MBurns
MBurns with treelady
treelady with ruthie218
ruthie218 with levisgrammy
levisgrammy with Blessed in Colorado
Blessed in Colorado with Marcy
Marcy with RedTractorGirl

Have fun everyone and let's start new recipe traditions to be found on Farmgirl Easter menus this year!!

Oh Marcy I am so sorry to hear that you have a lung embolism and other medical things going on. Everything hits you all at once.
But, I am so glad you got you package and it lifted your spirits. I really did have so much fun shopping for you , it had been awhile since we were swap partners.
Please get better soon, and know that I am thinking of you and sending prayers.
Winnie, thank you once again for a fun swap.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie,

The postman just delivered me the most wonderful package. I was recently diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot in my lungs. This thing has been taking me for a loop. I've been through a few other things but nothing has bothered me like this has. Your package truly made my day. The soap and the lotion smell amazing. I love the chicken hand towel and the little spatulas are adorable! I love the Colorado oven mitt, it's so cute!! The straws will come in handy and I love, and I do mean love the Goose Berry cookbook. I'm going to hang the chicken dish towel in my kitchen and no one is going to be allowed to use it! It's way too cute. Thank you so much for being so generous. You brought a ray of sunshine into a dreary day and put a huge smile on my face. I truly love everything that you sent me.

love and hugs,
Marcy

Here is the fabulous treasures and recipe for Pickled Eggs from Denise. The recipe was her mom’s and she made a copy so it is in her own handwriting. Nice! The stitching piece was done by her Grandma or Great Grandma and I will treasure it. Also 2 Tea Towels which I can always use, a Farmgirl Apron, a vintage Amana Cookbook which I collect and can not wait to look at. Pretty pink straws, and yummy jelly belly spring mix which I forgot to take a picture of because I am eating them:-)
Thank you so much for all the goodies Denise I love it all and happy you were my partner. Big Hugs.
Marcy putting finishing touches on yours now, it will go into tomorrow’s mail. I was overjoyed to be sending to you.
Winnie thank you for another fun swap.
Have a Blessed Easter my fabulous Farmgirl Sisters.

Big Hugs,
Debbie

Thank You Marlene for the wonderful package. I can't wait to try the Lemon Custard Cake. Angel Food and lemon pudding are 2 of my favorites. The sugar cookie recipe is much dufferet than mine, I loved all the little tucks, I really needed a new scrubbie and the dishcloth is perfect for spring.

Thank You Winnie for the fun swap.

I gave Marcy my mailing information and have received Marlene's. Ohhh, the fun is unfolding!! Here comes Peter Cottontail delivering new Easter tradition recipes to Farmgirl Houses!!

You gotta love that bunny, Easter Bunny! I now understand he has this entire #FarmgirlMailisBest division because there is evidence across our country that MJF Spring and Easter swaps are being delivered!!! Fro proof, just check out the current swaps at the main Forum or even our HenHouse to see what Farmgirls are receiving !! Like Amazon, USPS, UPS, and Fedex, even the Easter Bunny has to keep up with today's challenges!! LOL!!!! I had this idea that maybe I should be leaving a little carrot snack out on the back porch now because one never knows what time of day that Bunny will be leaving a package at a Farmgirl door step or a special card in the mailbox! Who will join me in making sure we leave snacks out for our devoted FarmgirlBunny Division friends who so quietly sneak up to leave us the most delightful surprises!!

Welcome everyone who just signed up!! We are going to have some fun sharing our traditions with each other this year. I am looking forward to hearing about what gets shared and and any little history stories that go along with it.

One of my favortite pastimes is learning about those stories and ideas that filled the homes of our grandparents and other older family members. We all have stories and happy memories of little bits learned from these people in our lives. MJF is a great forum to bring these stories forward and shared again. Who knows, maybe Aunt Mable's Easter buns will make a come back to your Easter menu!!
