I have a lot of milk glass and oil lamps. Either passed down or from the thrift and garage sales. I was just pretty pleased with myself when I found this milk glass globe last summer and found that it fit perfect on this oil lamp. My Aunt who passed away several years ago had a lot of milk glass and it was given to me, so its here and there around the house.
The picture above the dresser which has nothing to do with the title of this post is from 1900. The baby is my Aunt Glenda who is 104 now. The others are her Mom. her Grandma, her Great Grandma and her Great Grandpa. So they are also all past family too. Love the picture, Aunt Glenda gave it to me years ago.

I love the sweetness and femininity of milk glass.
If I recall, Country Living magazine did an article on milk glass and Hobnail glass... I think it was in 2018.

Nancy that is beautiful having it on the dresser and the picture, what a treasure for you to have! Love milk glass and I enjoy finding pieces of the hobnail too! They are so pretty to dress things up a bit!

I love your lamp and dish. I have a good bit of milk glass also. I dream to afford a vintage pink hobnail lamp. Pic looks so calming to me.

Nancy, I love this lamp and it looks great on your lovely dresser table from your family! I especially love the pink oil glass globe under the white top too. Gorgeous combo.
