Stargazers mark you calendars for January's Super Blood Moon. The below article gives details about the moon, its name and date/time we can see it. Depending where you live it will be visible January 20 or after midnight on the 21st.

Here's wishing for clear skies for all to see this spectacular event!

Lisa, that photo is absolutely stunning. I some how missed this memo and didn't even know about the blood moon. So unfortunately I missed it. I'm glad I was able to see your BIL photo to make up for it!

Love that photo, Lisa!! We have had overcast skies the past few nights at my house so I wasn't able to enjoy this special moon. Your photo was so fun to see and thank-you!!

AWESOMENESS LISA!! We were too cloudy here the last week or so. I appreciate getting to see that someone got a Great Shot Of The Moon.

Hugs and Smiles,

Thanks you guys. He & my sis are pro photogs and he is kind of a lighting specialist, so a great shot was to be expected, but when I opened the pic it took my breath away. The copy here doesn't really do it justice, but still amazing. I'm proud of them.
And of course the moon provided an incredible backdrop!

My BIL took this pic last night. Just phenomenal.

Watched it here too! Couldn't see it from the back windows due to the over hang on the house so we bundled up and went out to see it. Was beautiful. We did have to wait for a few light clouds to go over before all was done but we got to see it nice and clear!

It was a beautiful moon last night! We bundled up and headed out in our below 0 temps to gaze at it in wonder. NASA had posted a live stream of it and you can access the videos from their website. Our cold temps kept the clouds away giving us a beautiful night sky and a frigid bright blue one this morning.

Stay warm and keep looking up!

I was up at midnight but it was overcast so I missed it. Hopefully next time we'll have clear skies. Thanks Dawn for keeping us posted on what's happening in our night skies.

I viewed the moon while heading out to milk last night, around 5. It was beautiful. I did not wake up to see the eclipse. But i see my camera is out, so maybe my husband took some pictures.

I keep a Full Moon calendar on my desk every year! Susan Branch hasa free one on her blog every year, you can print out! Susanbranch.com
