I was in Michaels Craft/Fabric store the other day... and spotted a cute idea..
It was a canning jar with a small knob attached to the top..
I thought about it and thought why not use old orphaned earrings... as the knob serves no purpose other than for deco... so once I got home I snagged one of my canning jars, lid & ring.. spray painted the lid/ring and then epoxyed on the earring..
and this is what I got,,, sorry, my camera takes terrible photos,,, but you get the idea...

hmmm. now what kind of candies should I put in it???
(I luv lemon drops, soooo)

Grace, this is a great idea! There are so many things you can put in the jars. Maybe even make a candle??

I have several old antique canning jars that I treasure---now I know how to display them. Great idea.

I've put real knobs to match the person I'm giving the jar to and filled it with goodies the person would like. Fun project. None to show as I didn't make any for me!!! Mason jars are so much fun.

How koolieo to decorate and use canning jars as a 'package' for a wee gift.
I spotted the idea at the Michaels Craft/fabric store,,, and then went on-line to 'pintrest'..
yeepers,, perfect for Spa/craft/sewing etc gift container.

just a few of the goodies I put in this jar.. plus I will p/u a gift card to tuck into the jar.

I added a (removable) ribbon w/a yoyo on the jar ..
now to get the gift card to tuck in and give the jar to my neighbor at coffee on Tuesday.

Bling up the jars, what a neat idea. I love the old pins and earrings, and coming up with a different use is great!!
