I jokingly call myself, the "1 yard Wonder"... because when I see a cute fabric I can't resist buying a yard... and then when I get home... I Wonder what I am gonna do with it! lol!

On my recent trip to Hobby Lobby I spotted the cute flamingo fabric.. (actually I bought 1 1/2 yds of the blue one & a 1/4yd of the pink)
Then the next day while at Wally World, I bought this pattern to convert into a top.

(I went through all my patterns but horror of horrors,,, they were all to small!! hmmm, it's either been a very very very long time since I last sewed a garment,,, or I have packed on a few pounds! lol!

Any how, I bought the 97cent pattern, did some modification to it and Voila! cut summer top.

I just refuse to spend $5 to $14 for a pattern... so I modified it...
My machine has been having issues lately with making button holes so I stitched on snaps and covered over them with a yoyo.. I recall seeing cute flamingo buttons at the store, so maybe the next time I am out and about I will buy them and then sew them on top of the yoyos...

Hey Gae, I will be hitting several Thrifts on Tuesday when we head into town, taking Ginger to the groomer to get purtified ... so I will keep my eyes open for those patterns...
I can't tell you how many new/ never used in their lavishing quilting/wool craft/cross stitch kits & patterns I see at the Thrifts.

Greetings: Wondering if there are Kim Diehl fans in this group? Debbie, 2018 Farmgirl Of The Year, and I are preparing for snow sew days and are looking for the following patterns: Geese On The Meadow, Journeys End BOM, Handful of Stars, Big & Chunky Woven Stars, also from Harry Glass, but not Kim, Cotton Pottery. I have many of Kim's books and would be happy to share patterns. Thank you!

Grace--you are amazing---so creative and full of energy. Wish I had you as a friend close by to kick my butt and inspire me! hard to be isolated and inspire yourself===but at the same time I love my hermit life. So many animals and so little time for me. So much gardening and upkeep on this place---Can't wait until hubby retires and he gets all this fun. Just kidding---he sure does his work around here. LOL!

oh,, and then with the 1/4yd and what was left from the Top,, I made a 14" deco pillow for my trailer...

I found a brand new, still in the bag, 14x14 pillow form for 99cents at the Thrift and the huge RicRac was a piece left over from an old lamp shade project.. I had just enough to put 1 piece on both sides of the pillow.
I put a rhinestone in the center of each yoyo,,, but it was hard to photograph.
