From the first time I saw a “vintage glamper” in one of MaryJane’s photos (magazine, book...Don’t remember where the first one was I saw) I was smitten with the idea of a vintage camper. After years of looking, my hubby and I bought our “Gidget” one year ago on July 4th.

I can’t believe it has been a year already. She’s a 1966 Nomad, and just perfect for us. I think we will always have something that needs painting, fixing, sprucing, but she’s a labor of love.

I didn’t think I could fit anything else in decor wise, but I couldn’t pass up the little vintage apron I found “in the wild”. It’s the same year and color as my camper. (I also have a special one MJ sent me one year in there. But hey, I am a Farmgirl. You can never have too many aprons somewhere, right?)

I need to shine up her aluminum window frames. Anyone have something to recommend?

I am glamping today! Albeit in my backyard, glamping the same. Going to eat dinner at the picnic table tonight in the yard by the camper and we have been vegging and reading and being lazy today on this hot June Sunday. Loving it!

Nicole,, I too have been remiss for not posting on my Trailer blog.. but like you,, not much going on in the Winter for our lil trailers.

luv your lil 1966 apron,, hmm, I am going to have to go on the hunt for one or at least one of those cotton towel calendars that I can repurpose into a small apron..
My Serro Scotty is a 1963.. gonna have to keep my eyes open while junktiquing...

Your lil Gidget is adorbs and I hope you get out and camp soon... today it has been slight rain all morning.. no glamping over this weekend...lol!

I hope to get to camp in her this summer. We use her in the driveway when we aren’t camping though. I will have to take some new pics and post them. I dont think I have posted any on the blog, either, since Christmas.

Nicole I have loved vintage campers and trailers since I was a child and a lot of love for then in my early twenties. Never was able to acquire one though I LOVED! them Our neighbor lived in a lovely little trailer when I was a child and m mom and I would visit her often and I was in awe. My best friend in college had a sister with a vintage trailer out back and they all hated it but I loved it. So happy for all all of you.

Life isn't finding shelter in the storm. It's about learning to dance in the rain.===Sherrilyn Kenyon
