As some of you know, I have been traveling back and forth from Washington to Southern Calif. to be with my mother who had a stroke in January..
Well,, the up side,, I get to spend time with my mother,
the downside,, my property is looking unloved...
We bought this property and moved in, in Dec 2017.. now that Spring has Sprung,, we are able to see what needs work, clean up, pruning, transplanting,,, you get the idea.
I planted a lovely Peony plant and 8 lavender plants as well as made several geranium baskets.. then just a few days before I had to fly back to Calif., go figure, my iris', peony, lavender and other plants start to bloom, as well as my Lilacs!
I arrived home to Washington to have one peony blossom left, most of the lilacs were spent,,, but my lavenders, iris & roses are delighting me with color and fragrance.
and, every garden has to have a fairy,,,

Grace, your iris are beautiful. Love the dark one. Mine are all the same color, light purple.

I never new much about them until I saw that Maryjane was fond of and grew Iris'

Your Iris are beautiful!! the blue ones remind me of the ones my Mom had planted in a small garden off the kitchen porch.
