Yes, Ladies, it’s time for another great card swap for June. The May cards have been beautiful... I loved opening all of them!

JUNE SWAP THEME .... SUMMER VACATION.....

Weather you are going to the mountains or the beach, or wish you were.
Perhaps a Stay-cation where you stay home watching the birds and squirrels from your lawn chair while sipping ice tea, or playing with the kids or grandkids.... A summer garden to lovingly tend.... It’s All Good!

So.... create a card that shows something you’ll be doing/enjoying this Summer
(or wish you were)...

Mail out by June 5th....or close to it.
Happy Creating
Mary

When I showed Hadlee your card, she said, "Awww...her flamingos have clothes!" So I guess that means her's do not! Another stamp set will be needed soon. Her birthday is in August. So I'd best begin searching. Ha ha!

Haymakers,is said to have come from the Ingles family when Laura and her dad were putting up hay in summer heat...a very long time ago. My guys drink Power-ade. My husband now prefers Haymakers punch. I think as long as you get the vinegar and ginger in the filtered water the rest is all about your taste. I start with lemonade, homemade. and dice up candied ginger. I found out that Braggs ACV is very strong so I use homemade ACV. I sweeten with honey. Some people use maple syrup or brown sugar or even molasses. The reason I start with homemade lemonade is because I had just made a big pitcher of it and did not have any more lemons that day. Since it got approved, we will continue.

Marilyn, those sweet chicks sound so adorable to watch. Your organic applesauce sounds
delicious and great idea to use the insta pot to make it. I've heard the haymaker's punch is
very healthy with the ginger and some add other fruits to it for a little different flavoring.

It is always a great to receive your cards. They are so unique. And sometimes we are busy or sick and something store bought is perfect.
Have a nice afternoon. I must go unload two bags of chicken feed and feed and water the babies. Our first batch are growing so fast...of course they are three months old! It is fun to watch them running about, trying out their wings, hoping to find bugs on the roots of plants I pull up or the hay I bring up from my son's big round bales and put in for them to scratch around in. I put it in the nest boxes as a suggestion for later...but they love to pull it out and lay in it and play. That is ok!
Of yes I peeled some organic apples this morning to start a new and of ACV. I put the Apple quarters in the Insta pot and cooked them for 20 minutes. When I returned from the feed store I added so e cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, a bit of butter and a pinch of salt! Applesauce to die for! I was experimenting, did not want to drag out a crock pot. I made Kimche yesterday. I'm trying to learn to ferment some veggies. Also, do any of you make Haymakers punch? I have done three or four batches and my husband now asks for it in his lunch box. It is pretty good when you are hot.Gotta go. Hugs all!

Thanks Connie and thanks also for posting the picture. I sure understand about some months being busier than others and just receiving a card in the mail from our farmgirl sisters is a
real treat. I enjoy everyone's cards so much each month.

Marilyn, oh my gosh those are early hours you were mentioning and after living in Idaho I
did have to adjust to the hot temps and when to do things. So cute that Hadlee liked my
beach card too.

Yes, it went well, sleep helped. I mailed my cards, and my button ornaments, and my mini aprons. So, now to make my mail art and get it enroute too. Both my husband and son told me they only have about two more weeks at the new home they are building (framing). Problem is we have to get up at 4:00 am so I can make their lunches and they leave at 5. The job is about 45 minutes to an hour away. The reason they go so early is because of the heat. They stop at 1:00 or 1:30 and drive home. Then we all have a nap. But a nap is not like a good night's sleep! Look for your little package and your card early next week, Linda.I
Also I got your cute beach card today. Hadlee opened it! Of course she loved it too! Thanks

Hope your trip to town went well today Marilyn and glad to hear your blood pressure is back
to normal. Sounded like a scary situation when it was too high.

Thank you Connie for your pretty flowers postcard. I love to photograph wildflowers and
never get tired of it. They are so pretty and cheerful.

Thanks also to Denise for the sweet beach card. I love the beach and find it so relaxing.

I also received Denise's card. Beach time for her??? My cards will go to the post office in the morning. I'm late, but did not feel safe driving to town.I have never had high blood pressure, but have always had big swings in it. When Buffy took it Monday it was high. She was concerned. I suppose that got me to thinking and scared me too.I felt fine but Thursday I was mowing and watering and got too hot once more. So juicing beets to drink, Haymarkers punch and resting have brought it back in normal range. My husband drives us into town on Saturday so we can get groceries, etc.

Went to our po box today and found two very special cards. Thanks to Nora for her sweet
and creative flip flop card (love the polka dots) and to Rebecca for her unique and beautiful
Kylemore Castle card. Anxious to read the history enclosure too.

Mailed my cards out this morning.
