My sweet baby Takaya passed away on Saturday. It's been a pretty rough weekend for my family and me. She was such a great and happy dog. I will forever miss her spunky personality, sweet howling and talking, and never ending kisses. Even though this is hard, I now know she is no longer in pain.

Nicole, I purchased it from the actual cremation place. They had quite a few necklaces to choose from, but this one was perfect. They really do leave paw prints on our hearts.

Thank you for the advice Barbara. I do know that eventually we would like to find another dog to bring home, but that will definitely take some time. Many of us need to adjust. Especially her sisters who are missing her terribly.

I am so sorry you lost your fur person. They are like little kids. I have lost so many dear animal friends over the years and each one is as painful as the last. I have two old dogs right now and I am so dreading losing them. My advice to you is to mourn as long as you need to and then find you another dog that needs your love. Some lucky animal will be so glad you found it. It doesn't diminish your love for the pet you lost---it gives you the chance to love something else and give it a wonderful life like you did your old dog.

Krista, Where did you get your necklace, if you dont mind me asking?

It’s been over a year since I lost my Bonnie. I still miss her. They really leave paw prints on our hearts dont they?

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It will definitely take some time for my heart to heal and there hasn't been a day where we haven't talked about her. Their time is way to short and I wish we could change that. We received a letter today from her vet saying that a tree has been planted in remembrance of her. That makes my heart happy.

Oh Krista, I am so sorry. I know how you feel. What a beauty she was! She reminds me of my Bonnie, my Huskie shepherd, who I lost a year ago. It is so hard to lose a furbaby.:(

Hugs to you all. I know she was a lucky girl to have you.

Oh Krista, how I understand the deep ache in your heart losing your sweet and faithful fur Buddy. When I lost my sweet KitKat this past December, I felt such a deep hole in my days without his meows and purring. Your necklace is beautiful and a sweet way to always keep his memory close to your heart. Extra Farmgirl Hugs coming your way today from another fur friend loving Farmgirl.

As a family we decided to have her cremated and I was finally able to bring her home with me. I choose to have my share of her ashes placed inside of a necklace. This way she will always be close to me and near my heart.

I am so sorry for your loss, Krista. Their time with us is too brief and it is always hard to see them go.

I am so sorry, Krista. I lost my dog almost two months ago. I had my Oreo for almost thirteen years and losing him was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to go through, I still miss him every day. Sending you big hugs,
Marcy

Krista, so sorry to hear about Takaya. We have had to say good bye to 6 babies over the years. It is never easy. I will keep you in prayer while Takaya is happily running around in that big hand of His.

What a beautiful and dog and friend. So sorry for your loss. We lost our Husky a year ago and we have a lab who's approaching the end of his journey too. Blessings and comfort to you.

I'm so sorry Krista. I know how much all of you adored her.

New life arrived here this morning. Maggie had a little boy we named O'Mally.

Hugs to you and yours.
