I was looking for a quilting BOM club to join and Linda told me she was hoping someone would take over the one she ran last year and keep it going so here we are. I'm keeping it pretty much exactly the same. Thanks Linda for letting me copy and paste! Hopefully, I don't choose blocks y'all did last year, if I happen to let me know (I am probably not going to go back through all of the threads to double check) and I'll pick a new one.

Each month a new block (or more) will be posted and a new thread will begin for each new month. I hope many of you will join in and we will have a lot of new quilts to show off in 12 months or less.

You can join in at any time. We'd love to have you!
NOTE: Please be sure to "Subscribe" to this thread so you don't miss anything.

For the next 2 blocks. As always, you can do one, both, or none of them. Your choice. These blocks will be yours, so choose your fabrics and quilt away. Make table runners, quilts, wall hangings, or potholders with them - your choice.

NOTE: All patterns come from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn.
Please read her terms and conditions of use here. http://www.quilterscache.com/TermsPage.html

February 2018 Blocks:

I did not get a chance to make the January block(s) and I didn't see anyone else's completed block in the January thread so I'm going to keep the January links here in case anyone would like to make those as well (but no pressure!).

January 2018 Blocks:
http://www.quilterscache.com/P/PracticalOrchardBlock.html
http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FourPatchChainBlock.html

Please let me know if you would like to choose blocks from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn (www.quilterscache.com) website for future months, and send me the link(s). We try to have at least one simpler block and another sometimes more complicated.

Challenge yourself. As most of you know, quilt blocks are mostly squares and triangles. It is the way they are put together that makes a beautiful quilt.

Thank you for joining in.

Happy quilting for all!

Haha Linda, I don't know if it will help me either but I'm not likely to get more than 4 blocks done and I haven't started any of the rest!!! I was really hoping this challenge would get ME sewing but things have been soooo busy around here!

that sounds good, Sabrina. Not sure it will help me, but we don't want people to feel pressured. There is no pressure here. Just fun and a nice quilt whenever a person feels they have enough blocks.

I have an idea....

How would y'all feel about March being a catch up month? It seems like none of us have had as much time as we would like to try out these blocks. I could just repost the January and February blocks for March and we could try to finish some. I don't mind finding new blocks but I also don't want people to feel "behind" and I haven't had a chance to do any either (I'm *hoping* March is calmer but I also have company coming in twice so who knows).

Let me know what you think.

Nice choices, Sabrina - that Crown of Thorns 2 could be a toughie. I hope to finish one of the blocks this month. I have so many UFOs to finish that I hate to start new ones. LOL!
