I was looking for a quilting BOM club to join and Linda told me she was hoping someone would take over the one she ran last year and keep it going so here we are. I'm keeping it pretty much exactly the same. Thanks Linda for letting me copy and paste! Hopefully, I don't choose blocks y'all did last year, if I happen to let me know (I am probably not going to go back through all of the threads to double check) and I'll pick a new one.

Each month a new block (or more) will be posted and a new thread will begin for each new month. I hope many of you will join in and we will have a lot of new quilts to show off in 12 months or less.

You can join in at any time. We'd love to have you!
NOTE: Please be sure to "Subscribe" to this thread so you don't miss anything.

For the next 2 blocks. As always, you can do one, both, or none of them. Your choice. These blocks will be yours, so choose your fabrics and quilt away. Make table runners, quilts, wall hangings, or potholders with them - your choice.

NOTE: All patterns come from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn.
Please read her terms and conditions of use here. http://www.quilterscache.com/TermsPage.html

January 2018 Blocks:

http://www.quilterscache.com/F/FourPatchChainBlock.html

Please let me know if you would like to choose blocks from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn (www.quilterscache.com) website for future months, and send me the link(s). We try to have at least one simpler block and another sometimes more complicated.

Challenge yourself. As most of you know, quilt blocks are mostly squares and triangles. It is the way they are put together that makes a beautiful quilt.

Thank you for joining in.

Happy quilting for all!

Did anyone get a chance to make a block this month??? I did not manage to get around to it, this month ended up being sooo busy! I'm hoping to make at least one in February and am getting ready to make the Feb BOM post.

Y’all, I have not even started my blocks this month! This month was so busy and went by so fast!! And I’m heading out of town Thursday. I’ll try to do these in February maybe along with the Feb selections. I’ll try to get the Feb thread posted wed before I leave but if I don’t it might be next Monday.

Thank you, Sabrina, for taking over the BOM. Linda was so helpful and I'm sure you will be too.

(Their should be a merit badge in here somewhere for you. hint, hint.}

Thanks to Linda's wise advice I changed the second link. The pattern I originally posted was very advanced and we don't want anyone to get overwhelmed or frustrated so I changed it to something a bit simpler!

Can't wait to see everyone's blocks!

Thank you for taking over the BOM thread, Sabrina.

You can do it, Shannon. It's a great way to learn. Maybe one of your daughters would also like to try some of the easier blocks.
