So my BFF and I have been doing a tradition for each other for probably four years or so now. We do a “Vintage Gift Swap”. The challenge is to find something that you don’t already have in your possession, that is vintage or antique and $10 or under. We then pick an evening and go out to dinner where the decor is super festive and swap gifts. Last night was this year’s swap. I got her a milk glass pitcher that she loved (she collects hobnail and didn’t have a pitcher). She got me a vintage camera in mint condition - in the box! The coolest thing? It has FILM in it! Going to see if we can get it developed somewhere...wouldn’t that be cool if there’s photos? Like a time capsule!

I will post pics if there are any. So curious! I will probably do it in the spring as the camera place is a hike from here.

Nicole, that is just the cooliest thing ever. I love your tradition with your girlfriend. I found a 34 ml film about a month ago must be from 10 years ago. I was afraid to get it done cause we have boys and anything could have been on it. Well it turned out fine. Most of the pics blurry etc. There was one of our old house in Utah. A keeper. Can't wait to hear what is on your film. Oh the things you can do with that. Maybe even a swap that has to do with something in the pictures if they come out?

How nostalgicly wonderful! Post pictures of the photos if there is anything interesting! Total time capsule! Also, a great idea for a time capsule too, but with a disposable camera!

Nicole, this is an oldie but goodie!! I bet your friend is going to love this. Hopefully, the film can be developed too. Surely there is someplace that still can provide that service.

Winnie, Here is the camera and box...

The top opens and you would peer down to see your subject. The film is there, don’t know yet if it can be processed but wouldn’t that be cool?!?

That is such a cool present and holiday tradition! Please let us know if there are any pictures on the film! I'm very curious now.
