I wanted to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart, 1000% sincerely. Your prayers have started working as my husband is FINALLY able to at least sleep in bed again. He winces and and wakes up if he has to turn over, but at least he can lay flat now.
He is still quite a bit of in pain, but it is becoming a little more manageable. His PCP has instructed him to start taking Tylenol in combination with 3200 mg. of Ibuprofen a day, and it does seem to help a little bit (neither of us will take script pain pills as there are too many horror stories out there about addiction).

Again, thank you thank you thank you. It is appreciated more than you know.

As if this Summer hasn't been bad enough for my Husband with the 80+ hour weeks due to his Boss resigning . . .a week and a half ago, while stopping at the ATM, some (*insert colorful word or name here*) playing with their phone in a car came into his lane and to avoid getting hit head on, he had to cut his front end really hard into a parking spot and in doing so, set his 700 pound motorcycle down. Luckily, he was going under 10 mph.

However, he was pinned underneath of the 700 pound motorcycle that required 2 good Samaritans to lift it up so he could get out from underneath of it. He has a slipped rib, 3 other cracked ribs and a torn Serratus Anterior muscle.

My Husband is a Bull of a man - 6'3, 250 rock solid pounds . . . and he has been in tears every day. He has had to sleep in his recliner (if you could call it sleep), has wished death upon himself when he has to cough or sneeze, and all he is worried about is apologizing to me because I have had to do everything around the house since this happened. Somehow, he is still going to work every day and trying to function (he has 6 1/2 perfect attendance years at work and refuses to take even one day off). I have been getting up at 3:45 am every day to help him get dressed for work. The Emergency Room MD said it can take up to a few months to fully heal and there really isn't anything that can be done to alleviate any of the pain.

Unfortunately for me and my sanity, he loves his motorcycles (he owns 3 of them), I doubt that this will stop him from riding and he rides year round until it drops below 40 degrees (as witnessed in the below picture in the ridiculous amount of leather clothing he bundles up in cool weather - this was in March).

If anyone could spare a few small prayers for him to help heal right now, I would be deeply indebted. He would be mad at me for even asking, but what he don't know won't hurt him.

I hear you Deborah - my husband is always on the lookout for OTHER drivers because the more prevalent phones have become, the more danger he is in. I, too, have my Motorcycle license, but I literally only drove ONE time, as I did not feel safe in any way.

Sending up prayers for your hubby. Getting pinned under a 700 pound bike cannot be fun. I got hit on the shoulder once with a 500 pound section of portable livestock fencing and it almost put me into shock.
