As I sit here at my desk,,, finishing off my cup of java,,, and killing time before I head out to the 'Covers of Love' sewing group,,, I am watching the dragon flies in abundance! They are in full force flying around my hollyhocks....big ones, little ones, fat ones and thin ones,,, and oh the brilliant colors! They are fun to watch!
As for the fires,,, the one 40miles north of us,,, in Mariposa has caused the town and surrounding areas of Mariposa to have to be evacuated,,, Tankers have been flying over our house all day and nite and still this morning.. We woke to no power,,, but it came back on about 30min later.
My heart goes out to the residents of Mariposa and surrounding areas,,, as well as to the people in Northern Santa Barbara county and In Canada,,, and other areas that are being devastated by the raging fires,,, so heart breaking for the residents and the wild life that are losing their homes and habitats...
Just wrapping them in hugz and prayers. (also wrapping in prayers, the fire fighting crews and safety response personnel)....

God bless those able to fight the fires! I'm praying for everyone with horrible weather. Glad you are ok.

The called off the Evac a couple of hours ago... whew!!!
Fire still blazing but our Firefighters are working tirelessly...

Such a sad thing. It's tragic what sort of damage these fires cause to our world and the lasting impact it creates as well. Breaks my heart every time I hear of a new one.

I hate seeing the devastation to land, homes and families and wildlife because of all these fires.

These fires have such a MONUMENTAL IMPACT on people, animals, environments, etc. HUGE, HUGE, HUGE!!!
