Don't you just LUV a good 'Twofer' ???

Well once again, to kill time, I re-purposed a sweet hand sewn pillow case into 2 child sized Chef/BBQ Aprons..
And let me tell you,, I used every bit of fabric,,, I had one little 1" x 3/4" strip of fabric left...

this is the pillow case cut and ready to sew...

and yes,, there in the middle is a 3rd apron,,, not sewn from a pillow case...

the sail boat apron is from a piece of remnant fabric...I had just enough fabric to make this chef apron for my grand son.

I machine embroidered Aiden's name on his apron,, I found a neat metal button with a Anchor on it.. Perfect!

I made 2 of these from the pillow case... all I had to do was add the ric rac trim and a little bow.

I machine embroidered Jada's and Soleil's names on their aprons..

Your probably wondering why I made aprons for my grand kiddos,,, well I will be back in Spokane at months end and for the 10 days that I am there I plan to do some baking with my grands...

ok,, tally time,, 1 50cent pillow case, scrap ricrac, left over bow,,, yep,, 50cent apron... oh wait,,50cents divided by 2 equals 25cents each... lol!

Beautiful! I'm sure they will always treasure the time you spend baking with them and the aprons.
