Does anyone have great decorating ideas or recipes for Independence Day? When I was a kid, we used red, white and blue crepe paper to wind around our bike tires. Always festive and easy.

Sounds like you all have special fun for the fourth. I love hometown parades and celebrations. It is supposed to storm here that day but luckily when you're older you can watch fireworks on tv. Lol

You can take an embroidery or cross stitch hoop and make wind socks with red, white and blue crepe paper. I put water in pint jars and color them red and blue food coloring and add white floating candles to decorate the tables.

Bonnie, the kids in our town decorate their bikes with red, white, and blue crepe paper for the Independence Day parade since they get to participate in the parade. This year my little guys can be in it and we will most likely decorate a wagon to pull them in since they can't ride bikes yet. Other then that we decorate our house with flags and other red, white, and blue decor. Nothing to fancy.

Bonnie I have Boston ferns on my front porch and I put 3 American flags in each pot. I hang a red, white, & blue windsock on one of the porch. I hang a R,W,&B swag on the gate in front of my Yellow Rose Cottage. Instead of a wreath I little boys western boots with silk sunflowers hanging on the front door. For the 4th I will add a small American flag in each boot.
