I just whipped up dandelion honey butter, I haven't put it on anything yet, but I did taste it before putting it away, and it was pretty delicious!

It's really good! I just made my husband taste it without knowing what it was, he said it was sweet and had a fresh taste. He was a little surprised when I told him what it was.

This is new for me, I had to look it up on the internet (http://thehomesteadinghippy.com/recipe/dandelion-honey-butter/) and it sure does sound fascinating. How is the taste?

I used the petals. I have so many dandelions in my yard that I decided I should start making them earn their keep.

I haven't ever tried dandelion honey butter. It sounds very interesting. I'll have to try it some time.

Jess, it sounds yummy. Compound butters are so easy to make and so good on bread or in dishes. A neat trick I copied from cooking shows is to put the butter between two pieces of plastic wrap/wax paper and roll into a roll. Either keep in fridge or freezer.

Did you use the dandelion leaves or flowers? I have one dandelion growing in a flower bed. I haven't pulled it up because I thought I would find something to do with it. Maybe your honey butter.
