I am likely becoming an extinct breed: still have a flip phone, don't text, and still afraid to post on a website...oh my!! I want to modernize...not with the phone or texting, but would like to try this posting stuff again. It has been a very long time since my initial post...many MJF magazines have been read, but nary a post.

Thank you ladies for introducing yourselves. I never thought I'd say this, but I am actually getting comfortable posting!!!! My, my!!!! :-) My biggest problem is remembering where I posted, which makes it difficult to follow up - I hope nobody is offended if I'm negligent. :-) Anne

Welcome back Anne. I'm new here. I inherited my son's iphone 6 and I wondered why I didn't do it so much sooner!! I don't use the phone much or text much but I love podcasts, the camera, getting on the internet to find recipes while at the store, calendar and reminder of upcoming things etc. I love taking pics and sharing them to FB right away. It is fun.
I don't use a purse, everything is on the phone (I have a case with a pocket for debit cards etc.) I'm a geek I admit but I'm stubborn and cheap, LOL. I will never go back unless perhaps I want to try and disappear.
BUT nothing wrong with a Tracfon etc. I had one since 2009 until last November and it was plenty enough.

Hi Anne. I also have a flip phone, but I do text on it as well. We have locale in common. I am from Willimantic (37 yrs.), now transplanted to northeastern VT. We are retired, and help to care for our little granddaughter who lives up this way. Good for you that you have rejoined this site. There's so much to learn and share with the special folks that you meet here.

Welcome back Anne. I just got a cell phone again after 12 years of not needing one. I use it on just a few websites. Mostly Instagram. I only gave the number to family and close friends so I'm not tied to the phone all day reading text messages.
I second what Winnie suggested. I have met so many wonderful and kind women from all over the USA doing swaps. You'll have a lot of fun doing them.

Welcome back Anne from northeast Texas. When you do post I will be looking for you around the Farm. You are not alone. I have a Trac-Fron I only use in emergencies, don't text, but I do post here on the Farm where it its safe and I am right at home with like minded women.
