Each month a new block (or more) will be posted and a new thread will begin for each new month. I hope many of you will join in and we will have a lot of new quilts to show off in 12 months or less.

You can join in at any time. We'd love to have you!
NOTE: Please be sure to "Subscribe" to this thread so you don't miss anything.

This month there are 2 blocks. These were chosen by Terri Quinn (THANK YOU, Terri!) As always, you can do one, two, or none of them. Your call. These blocks will be yours, so choose your fabrics and quilt away. Make table runners, quilts, wall hangings, or potholders with them - your blocks, your choice.

NOTE: All patterns come from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn.
Please read her terms and conditions of use here. http://www.quilterscache.com/TermsPage.html

April blocks:
Another Nine Patch Star
http://www.quilterscache.com/A/AnotherNinePatchStarBlock.html
NOTE: For this block you MAY want to cut the 2-7/8" strips 3" wide and 36" long for the Color 1 and 30" long for the Color 3 and cut them into 3" squares. Then you may have to trim the squares to 2-1/2". I find it is often easier to make these half-square triangles starting with slightly larger squares and trimming instead of having to rip ouot and re-sew because they are too small. Saves my hair. LOL!

Friend's Star

I'd like some more people to select blocks. Please let me know f you would like to choose blocks from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn (www.quilterscache.com) website for future months, and send me the link(s).

Thank you for joining in.
Happy quilting for all!

I havenn't made that block yet for the same rason, but was going to tackle it tonight. LOL!

Really, when they are half-square triangles they end up easier than they look.

Thank you, Linda! When I first looked at the picture of the block on the right I was kind of dreading all of those triangles...but it has turned out to be my favorite block so far!

I love those colors, Debbie. Great combination. This will make a super quilt.

Here is my Friend's Star block. I'm almost caught up with at least one block a month. Only have one from March to go.
