This is a picture of my granddaughter Monroe that brought home a cabbage plant for their 3rd grade science project way back in early October. So proud of her.

Laurie...I wish more schools would incorporate those kind of lessons in with the Math, Science and English.
Monroe should be very proud of herself! Can't wait to see what her and grandma plant together.

Hugs and Smiles,
Peggy

Yes she did Lenora. The school is giving out free seeds, so Monroe and I will be planting her seeds really soon. She brought me some corn, lettuce, tomato, cukes, watermelon and pumpkin.

It's cool that her school features farming in the classroom. Monroe did a great job. Did she get her green thumb from her Granny?

Thank you farm sisters. I have told Monroe all of your wonderful comments and the smile on her face was priceless.

That is so cool, and what a great school project. I wish I could grow cabbage here in Southern California!

Sara, I will. She's so proud of it. After growing the plant I took the picture then she had to turn it in to her teacher. A wiiner will be chosen from each class in 3rd grade and the possibility to win a scholarship.
