Things are getting pretty strange when I feel its important to put a picture of a frying pan on my blog. But I couldn't help it. I just love coking in these.

We use cast iron all the time. We have a square skillet, a round skillet, a griddle, about 3 Dutch Ovens. Most were thrift shop finds, one Dutch oven a "rescue" from the local salvage yard!

I have checked out Lodge Cast iron and they do have quite a nice selection. I will certainly purchase my dutch oven should I not be able to find one at a flea market.

Myself, I mainly own Wagner cast iron skillets. I love to cook with them. Ah, if they could talk .... I'm sure they would have wonderful stories to share from the past.

Carole,
I got my two pans from LODGE CAST IRON. They have a lot to choose from and the prices were good. I got free shipping because I have Amazon prime. Anyway fun to look at the pieces that they have. So just google it if you want to have a look. I saw a Dutch oven with the lid , I think it was thirty five dollars.

Yea, I hear ya sister! I've been converted. Strange how there was this modern movement to go all stainless steel. I certainly went that way. Not even sure I knew back in 1985 that cast iron was an option. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that .... it cooks differently and I like it!

I am very fortunate to have my favourite brother (as he likes to be referred as) scanning flea markets for cast iron ware. Sadly, I/he has yet to come across a dutch oven with a cover.
