Today is random act of kindness day. So I have decided I will surprise my next door neighbors with some dinner. I am going to make some homemade mac and cheese (it's always a hit!), garlic bread, and salad. I am still undecided about whether I should stay and talk or leave it at the door as a surprise!

Does anyone else have plans to do anything for random act of kindness day?

I love Random Act of kindness! I try to do it as often as I can remember! I'm thinking that it should be part of every day! It doesn't have to be big, sometimes just a smile and a greeting (acknowledgement) is enough to brighten someone's day!

Dianna, it really does. It helps me to remember that I am doing what the human race should. The less evil and hatred in the world the better!

I totally agree with your word description Krista... "Magical" and I'll add to that by saying I felt truly blessed as I hope others would! Helps keep my heart 'human' so to speak!

Don't you just love that, Marilyn and Dianna! Just this last Christmas we went to a drive thru lighted park and the car in front of us paid for our admission so we decided to pay for the next 2 cars behind us. It's magical not knowing who paid for ours and not knowing who we just paid for.
April, that's a great idea! I would like to do that as well!

I celebrated the day by leaving a $20 bill at the coffee shop to pay for a few coffees. I like it especially because I will never know who had the nice surprise.

I love these stories, so heart warming! I always love to do RAKS, especially with my boys! Each year we make a list of ideas to do and look for moments to share and give thru out the year. Makes for a happy heart, both on the receiving and giving end!

How wonderful is that? I do so love to have my own 'Pay it forward' kind of days! Or Random acts of Kindness! I usually buy the person behind me coffee or a treat hen I am our ans about. Never ever thought I'd be a recipient but one day my daughter and I walked into a subway (she wanted a sandwich) and when we got to the front to pay the lady before us had bought her lunch! I was touched tremendously! It was a sweet lesson for Sara as well!

You got it Grace! Looks like we will have to be virtual neighbors until one of us moves!
I'll pass on the chocolate covered Brussel sprouts, but I'll be sure to make you some!

Thank you, Nancy!

How did that work out? How nice of you! I guess I would have knocked on the door and said I can't stay this time but I just finished making this and thought you might like some, I always make too much.

Oh Grace, how I wish you were my neighbor too! We could have some really fun Farmgirl activities! They would all involve some chocolate of course!
I think that counts! Are you guys getting some flooding there?
They were pretty excited and surprised! Their little daughter couldn't wait to eat once she found out what we brought. It was nice seeing a smile on their faces. Made my heart feel good!

Wowzers! wish you were my neighbor... it has been raining yesterday and today (again)... but DH and I did help a couple of our elderly neighbors fill/load and stack sandbags a few days ago.... does that count?

So how did the Mac & Cheese go over with your neighbor???? I'll bet they were just elated..., again, wish you were my neighbor...
