I found this beautiful framed sampler at an antique shop on our way home from Arizona week before last. It so suits the farm girl lifestyle. I have quite a few cross stitch, embroidery, and needlepoint pictures up in my 1902 house - most were done by my mother and a few by me. I know how much time and work go into cross stitch samplers, so thought my $9.00 was well spent.

Love this sampler, Grace!! What a great find for a mere $9 too! Someone put a lot of hours doing that pattern and I am glad it found a new home.

Darlene - my mother used to box up and send big boxes of craft supplies. I was a cub scout den leader for a while, but still couldn't use it all. In fact, I probably still HAVE some of it. Hmmm! Who can I send it to? and where in the garage is it? LOL!

Very pretty Linda. I too have made many samplers, and they do take a lot of time. So I would say you found a really pretty one for a great price.

Linda, how right you are! My kids don't even want to take their own things out of my attic! LOL! Now when I take food for any get together I put it in a dish and tell them to keep it. My daughter in law loves it! I love glassware and I have way to much! I have been giving my daughters things to her kiddos. That's one way to get it in her house! LOL!

Great find Linda. The cobblestone path draws your eyes to each section like the woman hanging out laundry or the gardens.

I know! I have one son, and I know he will just chuck everything unless I leave specific notes as to who can come and get everything. LOL!

That was $9 well spent! I love it! I have a few myself and always look for anything embroidered when I'm out and about. So much work goes into them it's hard to believe people let them go. However, I'm sure my kids won't want all my treasures when I'm gone. LOL!
