Hi, I am Christina and have 37 acres in Hillman Michigan. I was raised on a farm and have always known I was called to it. My husband doesn't want to be a farmer but I have 8 Chukar partridge. I will be getting chickens and turkeys come spring. I also have plans to plant some vegetables and flowers. Looking forward to learning from everybody.

Welcome, Christina. You sound like you have your plans now to put them in motion. I'm in Virginia. I have 12 chickens and going to double them next week when the chicks come to Tractor Supply. I have a good size garden. Good luck. Look around and join in all the fun.

OH Christina, How cool you are on Maryjanefarms!!! I am from Atlanta, MI and now there are 2 of us from this area!! I am so glad to have another Farmgirl so close. I know there are other's in Michigan but they are mostly on the West side down by Lansing and further down. I also know there is one or two in the UP. But how cool that we are close. I have had Goats, sheep, chickens guineas and the like so if you have any question please just ask!! You can email me by using the link here on Maryjane farms!! Welcome!! My husband and I have 12 acres and my husband likes to do the garden stuff. We are still getting that worked up well, but he is not an animal guy to much. we do have 3 dogs and he likes those but was not into the goats or sheep. he likes the guineas when they run around and eat ticks. He sees that they really do help with that. and he likes the eggs the chickens give. Last summer I raised 4 Turkeys and they are in the freezer now. I had a couple in mio dress them out for us. I just could not do that. Do you sew or do any crafts? Just wondering?
