For years I have been making my own lotions, balms, teas, and other such things. I blame the Foxfire books I used to read at my grandmother's house as a child. I was instilled with an interest in folk/herbal healing early on. I was always too nervous to sell any of them though. I would give them away and people loved what I made but, gosh. I am sure you know how hard it is to put your work out there!

I have run an online crochet/knitting store for years but really fell out of love with the process (I enjoy it as a hobby but not a job) but I think doing that gave me the knowledge of how to run an online store- something I would have never known if I didn't do it!

So, after a year or two of wanting to run my own online store and being too scared to, I am finally taking the plunge and opening Copper Moon Apothecary in November! I will be starting off selling my handmade and natural lotions, balms, facial steams and masks and I may branch out after that into teas (I still need to read up on the new FDA laws about that!). I have friends who have allergies to corn, nuts, and gluten so I am going to make a small line that is made without any those and in their own separate area (so as to not cross-contaminate). Besides writing, this is the other thing I am very passionate about in my life- affordable, handmade, natural healing.

I just got my mock-up logo and I wanted to share because I am just so darn proud of myself for doing this! xoxo

You go girl! Be proud of what you have accomplished and don't be afraid to share and sell your amazing products! Can't wait to see your online store up and running soon. I will share with my friends who have allergies or interest in home made products.
