Made it to the trailer today, Bramble went with me too, taking out my new mini crockpot, some other miscellaneous items and looking at what I need to do. There are a lot of dead flies I need to vacuum up and do some dusting.
I rearranged a cloth purse with a Scottish thistle embroidered on it that is hanging on the wall above on window.

And, found a tiny screw hole that needed a butyl tape patch repair. I will touch that up with paint and touch up the paint on the wheels.

Then I lay back on the settee, looking all around at the adorable little "Reiver's Rest" anticipating our glamping trip. Found myself so comfy that I dozed off for a few minutes . . .

My daughter is here, we've packed, shopped for groceries and are just about ready to take off tomorrow!
Today we had to help do some fencing for our cows, so we got a bit sidelined. Thankful, however, it was cool day today!

Good idea Ceejay. We had one container of stuff that needed to be put away in the house after we got home. Then when we went out again it could be filled up again. Good luck with the license plate problem.

The two vintage picnic baskets are loaded today. They contain utensils of every description, napkins, some dishes, herbs and spices, etc., etc. They stay packed all the time, just check for any specific needs for each trip. That way I don't have to gather these things every time we go out!

Loaded up some things in the trailer today! Gotta figure out how to display the license plate! Last summer while mowing the lawn I came around the trailer corner where the plate used to be mounted, broke off the holder. I do NOT want to take the tail light assembly all apart to put on a new one, cuz we sealed it with butyl caulk, even if I could find one that works. Soooooo . . . gotta work on that tomorrow. I'm sure I'll come up with something. Most likely to put in the center of the spare tire since the hubcap I have won't fit on that rim.

Bought a sportsman trunk to put on the tongue where the propane tanks (not using propane) used to be. Wanted something to carry tools, etc. in so that stuff doesn't take up space in the trailer or the back of the Envoy and can stay in the trunk!

Have asked "Birdie" to work on meal menus . . . she's good at that! I've started the grocery list.

Well, our "drive through" the campground today was great! The snow is melted, the sites and road are dry, the host is all set up there and it's looking great! YAY!
Probably no wading in the river because it's in full spring run-off and high and very fast. Our drive up to the top of Lizard Head pass gave us the view of TONS of snow still on those peaks. Will be run-off for quite some time!

Diana,
AT Cayton Campground, just above Rico, CO and before you start driving up to the summit of Lizard Head Pass. Robin and I spent three days there last summer. It's a nice campground, with nice big sites, some with electricity. Not a big one and it's by the Dolores River.
About 45 miles drive for us, so not terribly far. I don't plan to ever take our trailer very far . . . I don't think she's up to long trips!

Your trip sounds like great fun, CeeJay! I will be praying you have lots of good weather too. It would be a huge bummer to miss out on this time with rain, snow, winds and whatever else happens at 9000 feet! Campfires sound like a must to me!! LOL!!

Winnie,
We have reservations for June 14 through morning of the 21st. Oh you can count on pictures and posting! I'm just hoping all the snow is melted away in the campground (at about 9000 ft. elevation), etc. I'm praying for WONDERFUL WEATHER . . no rain, no snow, no wind and lots of Colorado blue skies! We should also be able to have campfires! For several years, because of our drought, campfires were banned, which is sad and takes part of the fun and spirit out of camping

Three years ago we were enroute to the Pacific Northwest to join up with glamper friends near Spokane, Washington. On Weds. that first week we were in day three of driving from my daughter's house in Phoenix . . . LL-OOOO-NNNN-GGGG drive. In 3 1/2 weeks of that road trip we put over 4000 miles on a rental van!

CeeJay, when is your camping trip happening? Sounds like it will be grand and I hope you will take photos to share with us about all of the fun and adventures you have.

Grace, when are you taking off in your Scotty for a trip? Now that June is officially here, it is time to head out.

Sara,
My "gotta haves" are pretty much already purchased, it's just a matter of getting it all together in an organized manner.
Our challenge for this trip is enough food for a week! And, we aren't going to be all that far away from a grocery store but . . .
I'm SOOOOOO looking forward to it. We've done a lot of glamping together and we do it with style and class!
