We have been having so much fun with these creative swaps this year and I am enjoying getting to know all the farmgirls who take part. It would be great if more of you would join in. We'd love to get to know you, too.

For this swap you will make one table runner to swap with one partner. Show us your creativity. I know we have some very creative farmgirls here.

One easy way to make a table runner is to make several quilt blocks (from a favorite quilt pattern or of your own design) using Christmas fabrics, put them together in a row or in a square, add batting and backing, and bind them like a little quilt. And take a look on Pinterest - https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=Christmas%20table%20runners&term_meta%5B%5D=Christmas%7Ctyped&term_meta%5B%5D=table%7Ctyped&term_meta%5B%5D=runners%7Ctyped - and you will find numerous Christmas table runners. Some requiring very little or no sewing.

Here are some pictures of table runners (or table toppers) I have made. I use table runners every year as part of my holiday decorations.

These two runners were made using leftover blocks I had from a bed runner I made. I won the blocks in a block swap with my quilt guild. The smaller runner was the only 3 blocks I had that used a blue snowflake design fabric as the background, so I made them into their own little runner or candle mat.

This one was made using 9 "Bow Tie" blocks I made using Christmas fabrics for the ties and unbleached muslin for the background.

This is one I made from 4 leftover "Lovers Knot" blocks from a quilt I made my niece one Christmas.

My cousin made this one for me from a purchased pattern.

When you sign up, please send me your name/address/phone, and I will keep the info in case you have trouble contacting your partners. I will only use the phone number if you are AWOL.

Signups start: September 28
Signups end: November 15 (Please send me your information ASAP - no later than this date)

Please please please post pictures. My mother made crocheted snowflakes and I'd love to see this table runner and all the others. I've been trying to find a way to use them on a table runner or other project. Plus we have to see ALL the table runners our talented farmgirls have made. Please???

Abi, I received the table runner you made. It is very pretty. I was looking at it closely and wondered how the snowflakes all connected. I crochet and know that I couldn't do that detailed work. Thanks again and the candle smells wonderful. Your farmgirl sister Christine

That is nuts. The tea pot was there all day long yesterday, and even early afternoon today.

I had heard there were gremlins working on rearranging/replacing pics in the different forum threads.
I just looked in Farmgirl Barter at Kelly's thread about the Corelle teapot. Lo and behold the same pic of the table runner that Denise Ann posted is there instead of the pic of the teapot. Crazy!

I received my table runner from Linda today. Thank you so much!!! It is quite lovely and will look perfect in the center of my island with the centerpiece on it! Thank you also for the chocolates and tea! I'll try to post pictures after hubby gets home with the camera - he and the children, except Emi, are on a field trip.

I received this pretty table runner and tucks from Denise. Thank you. The cute little cloth basket lost its chocolate goodies quite quickly, when my daughter in law and granddaughter made a chocolate stop. They were so cold(had been working at the barn), I could not say no.
I put this sign on our back door, because almost every day someone comes to "borrow" something.

Karen, I am so happy that you like it. I thought with snowmen you could leave it out longer than just Christmas time if you liked.

Hi Marilyn, I got my tablerunner in the mail yesterday and it is lovely. The snowman theme will look great with my snowman theme around the house. And the tree is so cute. Thanks so much and have a Merry Christmas.
