Is this wild plums? I generally don't try unknown berries as I'm afraid of eating the wrong things. I tasted one berry and it did indeed taste like a plum.

serviceberries are actually related to apples.

So my neighbors have a serviceberry tree. Apparently serviceberries are wild plums?

They're definitely not a blueberry. My husband and I harvest wild Maine blueberries. I did have my mother in law look at them. She did confirm they are wild plums. Here in Maine they only get as big as a choke cherry.

our wild plums are usually bigger, size of a quarter or so. Not sure what you have. Maybe ask at your county extension office.

To me they look exactly like a blueberry.
