Marilyn, thank you soooo much for the wonderful package I received today! I love the apple embroidery picture. It will look great in my kitchen. The gingerbread kids are adorable and I can't wait to decorate with them at Christmas. I love the dishcloth;those are the only kind I use. How did you know? The rooster fan is too cute. We have had some hot days here this summer. Next week, the fan will be handy because it is going to be in the 90's and most people in upstate NY don't have air conditioning....including us! The decorated paper clips are so cute and I use those all the time. And, last but not least, I love the beautiful earrings. Earrings are my favorite piece of jewelry and I am always happy to add to my collection.

Please forgive me for not yet mailing yours. It is going out tomorrow. It has been ready for ages and I kept forgetting to take it to the PO. Hope you enjoy it.

Hugs,
Portia

Wishing for the country life!

I get mine from ebay most of the time, also. Estate sales are another source of finding them. Hobby Lobby has new ones in packages you can buy if all else fails. Hope this helps also. Beth

Yes, antique and thrift stores often have jars of wooden spools. They are not always cheap, though. Merchants realize that they are a craft item, now. As <arilyn said, the new spools at Hobby Lobby and Michaels are often cheaper. You can also try asking for spools through FreeCycle.org in your area or sometimes on Craigslist.

Callene, craft stores should have spools. Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Also antique stores, thrift shops, anywhere vintage things hang out just waiting to be found by us.
