It's time to sign up for July Mail Art

If this is your first time signing up for Mail Art, please visit the topic Farmgirl Mail Art under the Farmgirl Swap heading to read our guidelines. Then leave a comment on this post if you want to participate and I will contact you.

FOR JULY, please leave a comment on this thread stating you'd like to participate. Sign-up is available through July 15th. If your comment appears after you've posted it, that means you're on the roster.

Mary Jo (mjscanlan)has chosen Vanessa (Audra Rose) to pick our theme and she picks Summer Afternoon. She says: I am taking it from the Henry James quotation "Summer afternoon, summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language."

And remember, you don't have to follow the theme if it's not right for you.

I will send an email with your partner to you on July 16th. Please send your Mail Art before July 31.

A couple of things to keep in mind:
1. Traditionally, Mail Art has been "secret"; part of the fun is receiving a surprise package from a surprise partner. I would encourage you not to tell your partner who you are until a reasonable amount of time has passed for them to receive your art.
2. Please be sure to include enough postage for your Mail Art to reach its destination :)

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me an email. I'm always delighted to help.

Happy Swapping!

Mary Jo, I am so glad you liked your "rolodex." I had a lot of fun making it.

PORTIA PORTIA PORTIA! this is such a great July Art package. so sorry for the late posting. The photo does not do it justice. It is this great rolodex (for us older people who remember what those are) of all the things Portia likes to do in the summertime. Drinking lemonade, crafting, exploring, reading, baking, gardening etc. So fun to go through and read. Thank you so very much. Mary Jo

When you have written on all of the pages, just fold it backwards, pull the book out and put in a new Comp book. Enjoy.
The tea cozie can also be a cuff bracelet.

I got Jami's picture a few days ago (at last posting it here). I love to watch the birds from our back porch. Thank you for the reminders that decorate my cubicle.

Glad to hear the ER doc was able to quickly find the problem, Marilyn. I pray all goes well on the 14th, and that you have the strength/willpower to "behave yourself" until then- I know it can be hard to stay still when you are used to being on the go all the time.

Blessings to you on your life's journey.

I am waiting to get a blocked artery fixed on August 14, the ER doctor said I must be still and behave myself. I had been putting floats on stock and horse troughs. He said that activity caused the pain that I thought was a heart attack. I feel ok.

Thank you, Rebecca, for the wonderful, miniature painting! I like to imagine I am looking at the scene through a big window framed by lilac bushes. It makes me smile as I remember the several opportunities I had to sail when I was in college. There's nothing like being on a boat with the wind in the sails on a sunny summer day! Thank you for the tea, also- I love tea.

Blessings to you on your life's journey.

Thank you Terri (SoCalMom) for the lovely wall hanging and notebook. I noticed when you signed up that your email had "scrappy" in it, so I'm so honored you put your talents to good use on me!! I hope you'll join us for mail art again

Vanessa, thank you for the gorgeous "Porch Sitting" painting I received today. You did a marvelous job! I love porch sitting!!! The tin is adorable and the little shells are so cute. I lived in Panama City, FL, many years ago and loved to pick up shells. I can't wait to try the tea and the "Round Tuit" is too funny!!!!
