Posted - Nov 14 2014 : 3:00:56 PM We tried out ABCMouse as something fun to do on my tablet for my K5'er and PreK'er. I'm just not impressed for something that costs $8 a month.
Does anyone have any free learning websites? I can't do printables as I do not own a printer yet (financial priorities) but hope to get one as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance!

Posted - Oct 01 2015 : 5:04:28 PM Have you checked out your local library's website? (I'm not sure how large the place is where you live). If it's too small maybe check out the library website of your State's larger cities. The library of the city I live in has great links to free continuing education for library card holders (from elementary to college level).

Posted - Dec 03 2014 : 11:17:04 PM free whole curriculas are
allinonehomeschool.com discoveryK12.com (totally different then K12) OldFashionedEducation.com Amblesideonline.com
Many of the books from all of those curriculas can be bought for free for your tablet, or as little as 99 cents per a book.
It is not free, but my kids love readingeggs.com and brain pop jr! They consistently like going back to both of those. They were NOT impressed with ABCmouse at all... a week or so in and they were bored and never go to it. They do like PBS which is free a LOT, and my two youngers use starfall.com a little.

Posted - Nov 21 2014 : 05:27:00 AM www.khanacademy.org has a lot for different ages. My first grader does a lot of math on there. They also have other things like a 360 degree view of the Sistine chapel. We also use Confessions of a Homeschooler (suggested by Shannon). Another option might be to print at your library? I know it probably isn't free, but just a suggestion. I also get Countries of the World videos and Mike Venezia books about different artists each week from the library for them (recommended from Confessions of a Homeschooler). I know those aren't websites, but some more free ideas :)

Posted - Nov 14 2014 : 4:09:48 PM Have you tried EdHelper.com, Krystle? The lower grades are completely free, and you can upgrade the upper grades for a reasonable cost. We haven't used it in a few years, but when we did, we loved it! They have LOTS of printables... I hope you can get a new printer soon, too! :) Hugs - Nini
