I have started this new thread to replace the old one which was just too full.

Here is something I'm working on.

I'm using fabric from the fabric swaps.

I finally finished the dog I was making for my friend. She asked me to make it look like a dog her friend had to put down. Now thats its finished, she has asked me to make 2 more for the daughters. This dog is huge and bigger then a gallon of milk. So I will be working on these for a little while lol!

My big red, white, and blue QOV is finally completed (photos soon). Tomorrow I am quilting my Granddaughter's quilt, and she will be finishing it. I have another quilt that is also ready to be quilted. I plan on setting a date for that one tomorrow so that I can finish it! I have been sewing every day and am so excited to be using my stash. I have so much fabric! I have also been getting my UFOs completed and am so excited to get that corner of my sewing room back! The plan is to dig into the stash and keep moving forward! Yippee! I have also been working on other badges aside from the quilting and UFO badges that I have been working on! I am having so much fun that it is hard for me to sleep at night!

Love your paper crafts, CeeJay, beautiful. A girl after my own paper heart. Nothing better than a hand made quilt, it looks beautiful, Judith. When I had my kitty Romeo, he loved to help sew like your kitties. Special little moments. Debbie, please share a photo of your crow cross stitch, looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, I'm sure it will be beautiful when it's complete. You ladies are inspiring. Seeing your projects puts a little gas in my crafting motor. It's been running on fumes, so thank you! xo

I am currently working on the Red, White, and Blue QOV that I have been steadily working on since last May. My sister had invited me to a free quilting class that is offered by one of the community colleges in our area. I have been attending on a regular basis and am finally nearing the end of this 2,460 piece project. At last! I quilted it on Thursday on a longarm machine at our local shop. Working on the binding and hand stitching. Planning to be finished by Wednesday. Next on the list is helping my Granddaughter to finish a quilt that she started for her Mom. She gave her the pieced top for Christmas. She wants to complete it by Mother's Day, so we are going together to quilt it next Tuesday. She can bind it and finish it. Yippee!

Here is my Cross Stitch project I started a few days ago. It is a Crow. A lot of work but so worth it. I have not Crossed Stitched in a while so it is slow going. But I am enjoying it. Have a wonderful first weekend of Spring everyone.

I am currently working on a crochet dog for a friend of mine. She has a friend who lost her dog and asked me to make a dog similar to the real one. It is taking me longer than I had planned. I am hoping it will only take me one more week.

It's sure discouraging when you get burned on an exchange. I know just what you mean.

Several years ago I hosted a "Smash Book/Journal" swap and was very pleased with the Smash Book I received. Doesn't always happen though, which is sad!

I also dabble a bit in "Junk Journals". I've made some as birthday gifts for friends.
This one is just 8 inches tall and 4 inches wide and it for me . . .with notes, tags, lace, pockets, bits and pieces of things from friends, including some farmgirls. It's 8 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches wide, about 24 pages or so. It's just for my own treasure.

I don't do these with just whatever. I want them to mean something to the person I'm making it for, so the materials I use are more personal.

I also make cards, journals, and tags.
Recently I went through my bits and pieces of supplies left over from previous projects and made cards from those things.

These are just a couple of the ones I made. These cats just make me smile!

Joan, I love the wax seals! They make letters look so neat. I bet your pen pals enjoy them too.

Judith, hopefully your cats will start to cooperate with you so you can get your quilt finished. At least they love your quilt!

My UFO of the month is to finish a queen-size quilt I started 10+ years ago. I spent the last week on the quilting. I got up bright and early to put the binding on but the cats had other ideas.

I started doing wax seal stamps for pen pal mailings. It's a lot of fun. I love the different stamps they sell.
