Posted - Feb 23 2026 : 1:43:40 PM Sylvia, that owl towel is beautiful!
Linda, I do the same thing! Jumping from project to project helps me to not get burned out. If I get burned out on a project, then it takes me forever to get started again. All your projects sound fun!

Posted - Feb 22 2026 : 8:11:18 PM Today I am working on a new quilt top, a quilted sweatshirt jacket, decorating and lengthening a denim skirt, and adding fabrics and slow stitching to a denim shirt. I jump from one project to another so I don't get bored. LOL!
I am trying to finish the skirt for our cruise.

Posted - Feb 22 2026 : 09:55:21 AM Love the purple quilt and the owl towel! I am not getting anywhere near the amount of crafting time I thought I'd get this winter :( I'm going to have to schedule a sewing day!

Posted - Feb 19 2026 : 5:49:05 PM Karen, your cards look so professional. If I was younger, I'd dive in, but have had to say no to beginning more crafts. However, voila! My purple quilt is all done!

Posted - Feb 13 2026 : 2:22:10 PM Karen, that is a really neat fun fact. I wonder why they chose to keep it a secret.
Heather, I agree! I love using them on many of my cards. So many of them are still unused.

Posted - Feb 11 2026 : 8:24:06 PM Just a little tidbit about Close to my Heart…They were the pioneering company behind photo polymer stamps (we called acrylic stamps)! The “Recipe’ for those stamps has not been sold off. When the company closed they choose to keep the recipe a secret! :)

Posted - Feb 11 2026 : 12:49:44 PM Karen, I inherited a ton of stamps from my MIL about a year ago and they all say Close to my Heart! I had no clue they were a specific scrapbook company. That is so awesome you got to be a part of the company for 15 years.

Posted - Feb 09 2026 : 6:40:18 PM Thank you! :) I love using ink and paper and making cards!
Krista-can’t wait to see the project all finished! Heather-I get my stuff from just about any where! lol. I was a Close to my Heart consultant for 15 years…so must of my cardstock is from my time with the company. They closed their doors a few years ago. I have a bit of a shopping addiction….so I shop at local craft stores, Amazon, and at individual/small businesses that are online. Scrapbook. Com has a great collection of Papercrafting supplies and the shipping is very fast. I also do a lot of one day events through different companies. These events have a kit with stamps, dies, embossing folders, etc. Then you just supply the different ink colors and colored cardstocks. You Tube is a great place to find new techniques and ideas!

Karen, your cards are beautiful! You did such a great job.

Karen - What fun cards! Where do you get your parts and pieces to make your cards?

Posted - Feb 07 2026 : 6:23:25 PM Amazing, Krista! I need to post a photo of my butterfly sweater. My 20 yr. old Granddaughter and I each made one in different colors. They are really cute. My took so much longer than I thought it would to complete, and I still need to stitch the sections together! Brooklyn has been wearing hers already! She works so quickly!
