Posted - Apr 22 2026 : 5:38:39 PM Here is another one of the 3 yard quilts. They are easy and quick to make. I don't need anymore quilts; my closets are full but the guild has a charity program I make them for.

Maybe I need to get one of the 3-yard quilt books to use up some of my stash.

Posted - Apr 21 2026 : 4:41:47 PM I recently cleared several shelves of books lately too. Very true -- if I want to read them again I can go to the library. Most likely I won't want to read them; there's too many books in the world I haven't read yet. It's funny how your books are a kind of security but you feel lighter when you get rid of them.
I have been sewing a lot. I've finished 11 of my UFO's for the guild for the year, led the mystery quilt program, and discovered the 3-yard quilt books that have me finally making a dent in my fabric stash.

Posted - Apr 21 2026 : 3:53:03 PM I've been trying to do some Spring Cleaning - getting rid of magazines, books, rubber stamping supplies, etc., that I don't think I will need anymore. I want to donate books I've read to a/the library - I read somewhere that there is no point to save them once you have read them, and I have quite a few boxes of books. I don't like getting rid of an author's books that I like, but can always go to the library if I want to read one again. And - I remember having to donate most of my mother's extensive shelves of books to 2 libraries after she passed away.
I am checking with a local Christian school, the high school and senior center first. The senior center is also a great place for jigsaw puzzles.

Posted - Apr 21 2026 : 2:15:14 PM I have been sewing so much lately that I may need to select a couple of new projects out of the UFO box! Things are getting done around here at a high speed! Yippee! I am so excited that I am so productive1 Plus, I am getting hand sewing and embroidery projects finished as I am sitting and watching Stanley Cup Playoffs! Woo Hoo! Can't wait to see how much I can get done as playoffs progress! I am working on Stitching and Crafting badges at the same time. So much fun that I don't think that I can stand it. But, I always say that a person can't have too much fun!

Posted - Apr 03 2026 : 3:49:45 PM Thanks everyone. I have struggled a little bit with liking the dog. I think because I looked at it for so long from working on it, that I actually hated it. But I am glad it's growing on me.

Posted - Mar 30 2026 : 6:01:07 PM My big red, white, and blue QOV is finally completed (photos soon). Tomorrow I am quilting my Granddaughter's quilt, and she will be finishing it. I have another quilt that is also ready to be quilted. I plan on setting a date for that one tomorrow so that I can finish it! I have been sewing every day and am so excited to be using my stash. I have so much fabric! I have also been getting my UFOs completed and am so excited to get that corner of my sewing room back! The plan is to dig into the stash and keep moving forward! Yippee! I have also been working on other badges aside from the quilting and UFO badges that I have been working on! I am having so much fun that it is hard for me to sleep at night!

Posted - Mar 30 2026 : 08:12:39 AM Love your paper crafts, CeeJay, beautiful. A girl after my own paper heart. Nothing better than a hand made quilt, it looks beautiful, Judith. When I had my kitty Romeo, he loved to help sew like your kitties. Special little moments. Debbie, please share a photo of your crow cross stitch, looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, I'm sure it will be beautiful when it's complete. You ladies are inspiring. Seeing your projects puts a little gas in my crafting motor. It's been running on fumes, so thank you! xo

Posted - Mar 22 2026 : 2:24:48 PM I am currently working on the Red, White, and Blue QOV that I have been steadily working on since last May. My sister had invited me to a free quilting class that is offered by one of the community colleges in our area. I have been attending on a regular basis and am finally nearing the end of this 2,460 piece project. At last! I quilted it on Thursday on a longarm machine at our local shop. Working on the binding and hand stitching. Planning to be finished by Wednesday. Next on the list is helping my Granddaughter to finish a quilt that she started for her Mom. She gave her the pieced top for Christmas. She wants to complete it by Mother's Day, so we are going together to quilt it next Tuesday. She can bind it and finish it. Yippee!
