                | Audra Rose | Posted - Oct 31 2016 : 11:45:11 AM We went to Kentucky for a church homecoming, and took some time to check out properties near Irvine that we saw on Zillow. Somehow our GPS got confused in the mountains, but we found the property I had my eye on purely by accident. It is everything that I want - a view, quiet, and a small house. The only problem is that we aren't ready to retire for anot her couple years, and can't afford two mortgages. I hope the LORD will keep it for us!

Our cat Snowy crossed the rainbow bridge today, a victim of age and kidney disease. May she and Igor spend happy times together in Summerland.

                | Audra Rose | Posted - Sep 26 2025 : 06:02:42 AM Sad news, my Igor, the cat with the arched back, Is dead, killed by a wild animal. His brother misses him.
And today is my moms birthday, but it is her last. My mom has a ruptured aorta. The doctor said she would not survive the operation, so it's just a matter of time.
I'm the pouty little girl, Churunga is the smiling one.
So if you have a mom, call her. If your mom has passed, take a moment to recall a happy memory.

Yesterday Rose and I walked a 5K charity run/walk. It was Rose's first public appearance and she did pretty well. We moved quickly and came in at a bit over an hour. You'd have thought she'd take the rest of the day off, but Rose had energy to spare! As for me, I was a bit stiff and slept well.

I grew gourds once, and with our garden patch next to a patch of woods, the vines kept growing and attached to the trees. That was a big harvest that year. My husband just laughed and said let em go, and I will cut them down when their ready..
